Wren's First Father's Day!

We started Father's Day weekend off right this year by letting Wren spend Saturday fathering Radcliff (how nice am I?), while my dad took the girls boating! Oh how I love Wren and my Dad. How did I get so lucky again?
That evening, Wren and Radcliff met me off the 15 (I've been wanting to refer to I-15 as the 15 lately to sound cool, but really, doesn't it sound better?) and we headed out to our friend's house for a BBQ. I have been so close with all of these girls since beauty school and it's so fun to get all of our babies together now that are the same age.

Oh how the times have changed since having kiddos, but it's so much more fun now! Look at those cute parents, parenting the best that they now how dangit ;)
There's the cute face to those feetsies up there... :)

And our special little friends, this picture kills me!
On Sunday, we woke up and I made a big breakfast for that cute Daddy right there.
Later, my family took Radcliff to church for us while we partied it up with just the two of us!
After, we headed over to my parents to pick him up and spend some time with my Dad.
And that evening we had Wren's family over for a BBQ.
We ate a delicious meal and then walked over to the park by our house to throw the football and...
...play Simon Says lead by the one and only Lilly herself!

It was fun being able to celebrate Wren's first Father's Day. He is such an incredible Dad, words can't even explain it. Radcliff loves him so much and Wren's devotion to Radcliff is unreal. We are the ones who can hardly ever leave our baby with the millions of people who are begging to babysit because Wren just can't handle being away from him. It's so sweet.
And to both of our Dads... You guys know how much we love and look up to the both of you. I don't think there has ever been two more giving fathers than our Dads. They are constantly serving others, and especially their kids. It's amazing to know that if we ever needed anything, both of them would be there in a second. We love you two!

My Dad's How Old Today???

This morning on my way to work I saw a teenage girl on the side of the freeway standing next to her car. I wondered if she was okay but quickly noticed a guy, who appeared to be her Dad, filling up her car with a red gas tank. I knew she was fine. This made me think of my own sweet Dad who did this exact same act for me so many times while I was in high school (What? Cars need gas Dad?) Dads just have the best way of being there when we need them, don't they? Not only was my Dad the guy to bring me gas when I ran out of it, but he was the guy who brought all of us breakfast in bed when we were in high school. He was the guy who came home every day at noon the summer after second grade to put my contacts in because I didn't know how and he wanted me to be able to sleep in. He was the guy who has helped us move so many times, and the guy who came and worked so hard on our house so we could move in. He's the guy who sings through anything he does and the guy who has taken us out to dinner and shopping more times than we care to admit. And he's now the guy who watches my baby and sings crazy songs to him while I workout. I could go on and on, but you get the point. I love my Dad so much it's crazy!
Happy Birthday Dad!
Best looking 55 year old out there!

FUN DADS + Link Up!

Clearly I have one of the coolest dads out there.
(Hey nose)
When we were little, every Saturday, and really most week nights, he would take us on what we liked to call The Rounds.  He'd hoist us in the back of his Defender (still love that car) and take us to movies, ice skating, pet stores, shopping, eating out... you name it, we did it.  He was SUCH a fun dad who always made us his very first priority.  We have the funnest memories with him because he was always around.
It brings joy to my heart knowing that Wren is going to be the same type of daddy to Radcliff.  He gets home every day around 4:30 and devotes the rest of the day to his baby.
He loves taking Radcliff to do things and getting him out, even at the young age he is.
While I was working last week, he sent me this picture...
...with the caption, "Yeah those are socks on my hands.  Big deal!"
He called me right after and we both laughed hysterically.  I guess it's time for me to buy the kid some gloves?  Anyway, Wren said they had just gotten back from a walk, and were headed out on another walk to get some hot chocolate.
So happy for Radcliff that he'll have what I had.
Yay for FUN dads!
Now it's...

Dear Baby, It Was Father's Day...

Baby In My Belly,

Yesterday was Father's Day.  You probably didn't know since you're holed up in my stomach at the moment.
But, you've basically got the coolest daddy ever in store for you...
He's already planning the many adventures that he is going to take you on.
He will constantly have you giggling and you won't meet anyone sweeter than him.
He loves you so much and I know you will love him more than anything just like I do my own dad...
...who will be your grandpa.
And speaking of grandpas, you're getting TWO other amazing ones as well:
Your daddy's dad...
And your mommy's grandpa...
FOUR amazing men in your life you lucky duck.
I just thought you should know how incredibly lucky you are and how loved you'll be by all of them.

Love,
Mommy

Happy Father's Day to our amazing dads and grandpa.
We can't imagine life without you guys and can't believe how you are always just there for us, even if it's just something small like a smoothie, root beer float, or caramels :)
We know what a blessing it is to be born with such kind hearted, sweet, and strong dads and we could never express our appreciation enough.
WE LOVE YOU GUYS MORE THAN YOU'LL EVER KNOW!
