So apparently my hair wasn't the only thing needing a makeover. Sav did a great job on my new cut but what she also did when was over there the other night was my nails. But she didn't just paint them with any normal polish. She did them this new way. It's called Shellac Nails. They're the coolest things. And the best part was that when she was done they were already completely dry and hardened. The process goes like this, 1. base coat, then put nails under these very strong lights (she has them, you can buy it at beauty supply store) for ten seconds. 2. paint first coat of shellac polish then put under lights for two minutes. 3. paint second coat of polish and put under lights for another two minutes. 4. paint on top coat and then stick under lights again for about a minute. 5. Rub off waxy film with rubbing alcohol. . . and You're done! And the best part is they are already dry and hard and ready to go and it only took about fifteen minutes to do. They also stay pretty much perfect and don't chip for about two weeks if not longer and still look shiny. And it adds another strong layer to your nails so they feel extra thick and not brittle anymore. They are way cool!
