Recipe for Arroz Doce

My husband served a mission in Brazil for two years and while he was there, learned some delicious Brazilian recipes.  One in particular that is fantastic, super easy, and is my grandma's new fave, is this recipe called Arroz Doce (very romantic huh?) that is similar to rice pudding; only betta!

I am going to give you another mind blowing , ultra detailed recipe rundown again.  You ready?  Brace your bad selves.....

What you will need:
2 cups White Rice
A little bit of this: Water
And a little bit of that: Milk
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
Some of this: Cinnamon
And 1 tablespoon of Sugar + some more :)

What you will do:
-Put the 2 cups of rice, the applicable amount of water that the rice calls for plus about a 1/4 cup extra, and the 1 tablespoon of sugar into a saucepan and turn to medium heat
-Let cook for about 20 to 30 minutes
-After there are little suctions holes starting to form, taste the rice to make sure it is soft.  If it's not, keep cooking until it is.  Once it's soft, pour in the milk until it is level with the top of the rice
-Bring milk to a boil and turn heat to low
-Pour in 1 can of sweetened condensed milk and stir for about a minute
-Add as much cinnamon and any extra sugar that suits your fancy and stir until mixed in
-LAST; ENJOY!

This stuff really is the best, it's so good for breakfast and also great as a desert for dinner.  It's just as good cold as it is hot, so try both k?  Man I wish I has some sweetened condensed milk right now to make some.... but I'm FAR too lazy to go buy any.

Anyway, I hope this recipe made sense!??  Have a FABULOUS Thursday.  Stay tuned.... tomorrow I am going to put up a super easy, fun tutorial as well.

Have a great day.  I don't know where you are, but it's a gorgeous day in SLC baby!
