Oh Just Me Talkin'

I feel like a terrible mom sometimes because I was able to write down so much when Radcliff was a baby and I just simply have not had the time with these two cave men running the joint, to write very much about my Evy Bear. And he's just the sweetest little Evy Bear Boy around. He deserves lots of things to be remembered about him!

He loves laying on the floor and watching TV. Yes, I let my two month old watch the tube in the morning while I take a quick shower. I'll come down and he'll be squealing and kicking away to the fine woman on Good Things Utah. He thinks Michelle Money is hot, I can tell. He doesn't love nursing like Rad did. He's a wam, bam, get em' done kinda guy. I feel so used. Hold me. He's been sleeping pretty good at night and kind of cat naps throughout the day unless he's in his carseat or being held... Then he's out for the long haul. He loves his mamaroo and gets scared of the balls that hang from it at least twenty times per sitting. He'll be looking, looking around the room, and BAM. He sees the balls again and jumps, scared as can be and then smiles at them and repeats the whole thing over again. I could watch it all day. He loves being swaddled at night and will fall asleep anytime if I put a blanky over his face (I only do this when I'm holding him, obviously). Rad was so Mr. Alert and Bear's just fly by the seat of his pants, kinda guy. He's easy going. He still falls dead asleep in the car and will sleep for a really long time if I let him stay in his carseat when we get home. It's like the second he's in that thing, he's out for the next two hours. He is so easy peasy we can't even believe it. And of course, he gets kissed five million times a day. Oh and he just loves Radcliff so much. The second he hears his voice he gets so excited and gets his fat little legs going. XOXO!

Life with two kids is getting easier and easier. I've been able to stagger their schedules which has been awesome in getting lots of one on one time with each of them. Everest wakes up a couple hours before Rad so I get to feed and hang out with him for a couple hours. Then he goes down about the time Rad is waking up. Rad is like a teenager, waking up anywhere for 9:30 to 11:00. OMG. Then I get an hour or so with Rad and the rest of the day kind of follows that order. At night we but Ev down a couple hours before Rad so the three of us can hang out and do "adult" activities. Ha ha, but really. Rad's two going on sixteen.

It's amazing how I can literally not stop once the entire day with both of them needing me. By the time Wren gets home I can barely even wait for him to get the mail from the mailbox as he's coming in. I'm like, get in here NOW! Life's just so much more fun when he's around. It's crazy how much love I can have for my Tom, Dick, and Harry's (Not applicable? Humor me!)

Well, both the boys are down and I want to eat ALL the food in the whole entire world and talk Wren's ear off.

And now I'll leave you with these lovely ladies...
...They'll even loan to animals and dead people.
And their style? Bangin'!

New Bathtubs and Pregnancy and Weather and Just Stuff.

This picture of Radcliff pretty much sums up how our lives have been going this last week...

Wren got the bug to tear out the old bathtub over the weekend (cheers, applauses, shrieks, hooorahs!)
Looking at this picture kind of makes me want to puke. And this is it scrubbed clean. Wren said if he was going to tear it all out he at least he wanted it clean. The only guy that would clean before demolition. I think it was mostly because he wanted Rad and I to have one last clean bath before it was all torn out. I love him. But let me tell you, that scrub job was beyond pointless about one second after he took the ax to the tile. I was straightening my hair (you know all the normal things you do three feet away from demolition), and the dust immediately filled my lungs. To say the bathroom was a disaster is an understatement. My mom stopped by, and walked Radcliff up there to see the progress and he looked up at her and said in the most distressed, little raspy voice, "Whoa Cha Cha, WHOA. This looks soooooo bad", as he stared in horror at all the old tile laying in his beloved bathtub (him and I still take two baths everyday so just imagine...) He kept saying, "What we gonna do Cha Cha???? What we gonna DO!?" I love him so much. Wise beyond his years, that one.

Once Wren stripped everything down, we came across the most amazing red brick. My Dad was like, "You've gotta find a way to leave that", so that we're doing. Think exposed brick, wood beams, and light gray/white, wood-looking tile. I'm just so terribly excited! I LOVE BATHS! My Dad came and helped Wren all day Sunday so we could get the water running (showering with the hose was no bueno!), and let's just say the pipe coming out of the wall that still remains faucet-less until the tile is up, is like the best bidet ever. TMI??? It shoots straight out at the opposite wall, it's pretty hilarious. It sprayed Rad in the eye today and he exclaimed, "My brown eyeeeee, Mommy girl!" Also, the day my Dad came over to help, he could tell Radcliff was a little on the fritz so did what any good Grandpa would do and said, "Radcliff!? Let's go get a semi-truck!" Off went Slick and Rad to K-Mart and Whole Foods to gets semi trucks and lunch for us. A guy even asked my Dad if he was Rad's Dad, and he was beyond pleased. Anyway, thanks for all the help with the tub and Rad, Dad! You're bomb!
And of course I'm obsessed with every inch of Wren's handyman self. That guy, it's Wednesday and he's still going at it strong, laying the tile tonight. It's love.

If you thought the bathroom was a wreck, so was the rest of the house...
Radcliff and I promptly cleaned it all up Monday morning. I just couldn't deal. I love my little helper!

And let's not forget about New Baby growing like a little weed in my tummy.
33 weeks and counting! I can't believe we are almost to September and then I can say, "I'm due next month!" I can't wait to meet this new guy. I already love him so much. He's a mover and a shaker and keeps me up late into the night and early in the morning. I'm thinking tap dancer, maybe? The heart burn has slowly started to creep in, but nothing in comparison to my pregnancy with Radcliff. I suffered from that dang heartburn pretty much my entire pregnancy, and by the time I was where I'm at now, I swear I could have breathed fire. And had to sleep sitting up. That was fun.

Babies I tell you! Worth every second of it though! And the weather tonight??? HEAVENLY! I think I may have just survived the summer! It's a little Christmas miracle I tell you.
Let's go get hot chocolate Rad! And a flannel. I deserve a new shirt ;)

Okay now, this post was written last week.  Warning, it's LONG and COMPLEX...

Wren had man's night tonight.  Radcliff and I took a hot bath, slathered ourselves in lotion, put him night-night, and now I'm sitting in bed watching the documentary, Happy, while drinking a cream soda as I type this.  Apparently, my ADD doesn't allow me to just do one thing   But let's note, this is also the first time since little Radman was born that I have had a night by myself to relax and do whatever the hay I want.  I've decided alone time is good.  I always like being alone, but don't like anticipating being alone.  Anyone else have this trait?  But for the record, I am thoroughly enjoying myself.
I've had some things on my mind lately.  Lots of things.  When you're home alone with a baby all day long, interesting thoughts go through your head.  Am I right or am I right?
I have honestly considered killing the dog down the street.  It loves to bark it's annoying head off right after I put Radcliff to bed, signaling to the rest of the dogs in the neighborhood to bark back at him.  It turns into this big barking party out there and is just the most exquisite of annoyances   It's madness   I am close to writing a note to the owner that says, "Shut your dog up, or I will."  Wow, I know.  I'm cruel, but so is that barking and my angst that it's going to wake up fat Radcliff.  Don't report me k?
I met my friend for lunch and shopping today.  Lunch went great, and then when it came time to shop, Radman was just not having the stroller.  It turned into me holding my twenty pound baby for two hours as Sara pushed my stroller.  When mothers say, "Man, I just didn't realize how easy it was going places having just one baby until I had two", I cringe.  I can't fathom it getting any trickier...  Oh but I can.  I saw a young mom there today with what appeared to be one and three year old little girls.  They were both blood curdling screaming as she pushed them in their double stroller.  She looked like she wanted to blow up the whole mall.  I honestly wanted to go to bed after witnessing it.  Mhhh, I've decided when I have two, shopping is out of the question, period.
With that being said I am obsessed with every inch of my three and a half month old though.  I want to bite his cheeks off, put his feet in my mouth, kiss him on the lips.  It's like I can't get enough of him.  Anyone else have these strange urges with their baby?
People that ride too closely to cars should have their licenses revoked.  This includes you too dad and Rache ;)  You really think you're going to get somewhere that much quicker by riding me?  You're not.  I promise I will be forced to buy the baby on board sticker if it doesn't stop.  And I know, I know, I'm glad you saw the sticker because without it you were going to slam into me.  Well stop riding me then k?  Cause it will force you to slam into me.
Speaking of drivers licenses, mine was expired for almost a year before I realized it was.  I had to take the test.  I then remembered why I'll never go on to get a Master's.  Tests suck.  And on another note, why does it always seem like it's time to renew my vehicle?  And isn't is supposed to be every odd year to get my inspection and emissions done?  Well I swear it's ever year for both cars.
I have never understood people craving soda.  Until I had Radcliff.  Now it's all I ever want.  I buy the natural Zevia ones, which somehow seems better to me, and pour cream in to it to make it a real life cream soda.  It's all I can think about really.  And people, I can so relate now.
Why is working out so hard?
Harmon's pistachio gelato is so good it's sick.
I want to start singing again.  Playing the piano again.  Playing the guitar again.
Especially when I hear music like this...
Obsessed.  Especially with the last song.
I didn't expect a single one of ya to make it to the end.  But GREAT WORK if you did! :)
