20 Things You Should Know About My Guy Now That He's One

1. If we say, "Kiss, kiss", he leans in and gives us an open mouth kiss with tongue. He's a romantic like that.
2. When shown his Elmo doll he says, "Melmo."
3. He's doing lots of little talkies in a foreign language that only other Radcliffs could understand.
4. He loves books, and loves it even more when Daddy reads them to him. He loves anything Daddy, really. When Wren walks in from work, Radcliff can barely contain his excitement. The idea of Mama is pretty much toast for the rest of the night.
5. He loves clapping when he stands by himself and raising his arms in the air when we say, "Yay!"
6. After we get him out of his crib, he reaches up to touch the metal sheep at the top of the posts on his crib, then reaches over to the light switch to switch it on and off, and then finally to the swamp cooler knob in the hallway. He's a busy goy!
7. He still takes two baths a day with either Daddy or I.
8. No one loves a good nursing like him. Still. He reaches up for me to tickle the palms of his hands as he drinks and then loves as I move up his arms and onto his face. We can make that whole shebang last a good half hour. He gets the tickling love from his mama.
9. He still takes two long naps everyday. He still goes to be at 11:00. We've tried moving his bedtime earlier since he was born and through many failed attempts, I've decided all three of us are party animal- night owls who can't be held down. We've embraced it.
10. He loves climbing the stairs and loves it even more when we chase him. He squeals with delight as he hurries up them. When he heads towards them to go down, we move our finger in a circle shape, and say, "Turn around", and he'll turn backwards and slowly make his little way down.
11. He's quick as a whip, no pulling anything over on him. I'm sure I'll love that quality as he gets a little bit older as much as my mom loved it in me ;)
12. He loves computers, like way more than friends. If we finally relent to letting him touch it, he'll type, type, type away... really important documents I'm sure! Like I said, he's a busy goy!
13. Lover of anything carb. Surprise, surprise, right? Waffles, toast, cookies, cake, you name it, he loves it. Oh and also ice cream and yogurt. Duh though.
14. He's a car guy. Whether it's watching them drive past or pretending to drive in our cars and pushing all the buttons by the radio, he's smitten.
15. He doesn't love baby food anymore and wants to eat most things off our plate.
16. Teething has not been kind to him and his eighth tooth just popped through!
17. Lover of all things outdoors, and especially hikes in the hiking backpack. He won't make a peep for hours as he stares at the pretty mountains and trees.
18. He still just likes it best when it's the three of us. He's never been into lots of people, and still isn't. Yet he likes everyone from a distance. He be tryin to catch everyone's eye at the store, and when they finally look over at his intently gazing eyes, he gives them his award winning smile that stretches ear to ear across his square little face.
19. He could be pushed in his little pink swing in our backyard forever.
20. He loves anything you can push... our vacuum, lawn mower, broom, or steamer. He's obsessed.

We love him so very much!

Firmoo and You + Link Up!

I have had the pleasure of working with Firmoo again, and they were kind enough to send me over another pair of fun glasses! Remember my last review of their gold glasses here? Wren still wears them all.the.time. And speaking of that post, man you can tell I was really lacking some sleep. Radcliff was six weeks old and we had no clue what the heck we were doing, really. Now we're pros ;) And my hair?! Was it really that long and thick? Kind of kicking myself that I cut it. Oh well. But back to my glasses. Way back in 2009, I think it was, I paid the best money I've ever spent and had lasik surgery done on my eyes. My eyes were a whopping -8.50, and if any of you know how bad that is, well you know how bad it is. No matter how much dough I spent on glasses to get them to look thinner, my eyes still slipped into the deep abyss of thick, thick glass. It wasn't pretty. Well now that I don't need them? I actually like them. Thanks to the hipster scene, I can sport them without seeming like a wannabe, even though I was technically born with bad eyes so I wouldn't really be a wannabe, but kind of... You follow? Anyway, go check out Firmoo and enter code SAVANNAHBLOGE2 to get 30% off your order! Their website is super easy to navigate as well as to enter your prescription. Aaaaand... their glasses are super stylin.

Thanks Firmoo!

Pie 5 & 10-1/2 Months & Link Up!

Today I want to write down some things I don't want to forget about Radcliff's amazingly fun age! I have been so horrible at journaling and it seems each day that passes, the pit in my stomach grows bigger from guilt of not writing in it. I don't ever want to forget all of the cute things this boy is doing right now! But I know I will if I don't write them down, so here goes:

Radcliff... how fun is this 10-1/2 month old thang we've got going on here, my darling boy? Your new found freedom is absolutely exhilarating to you! To us as well. I love watching you crawl from room to room following me around. My favorite is when the door is slightly closed and all of a sudden I see it slowly creak open and see your big smiling face peek around the door. You are just too much to handle! Just this last week you have started pulling yourself up into standing position. It's so cute to see your wobbly, little, proud self! It will be soon you'll be walking! When you are in your highchair you love playing this game with us where you'll lean your head all the way back, stretch your mouth as wide as it will go, look at us with your eyes peering out of the side of your face, and do this gasp-for-air thing. You wait until we do it, and then laugh and laugh and repeat it all over again. At first, it could be quite disturbing to someone, but we of course think it's adorable and hilarious! You can wave bye-bye and repeat really basic things like bye-bye, bo-bo, mama, and dada. We love watching your wheels turn. You love watching me point to everything on mine and your face and hearing what it is. That's entertainment for a good ten minutes! You also love listening to me count to ten and sing the ABCs. You are so intrigued by learning and I love it! You also love music! When I bring you to singing time in primary you sing right along with the kids in a pretty high pitched voice. It's so terribly precious. We can't keep you away from the guitar, and you could watch us play it forever! In fact, you accidentally pricked your finger really bad on one of the strings at the end of the guitar and we couldn't get it unstuck. You screamed as we had to force it out. Now we have to constantly hide it from you, but you always seem to find it! You also love sitting on my lap as I play the piano or stare at my lips as we sing together. And you have your favorite go-to-bed songs that put you right to sleep. I hope your love for music only grows like ours has! You love to play patty cake and your favorite is marking it with the B because it's just another chance for you to use your pointer fingers. You LOVE pointing. It's hilarious. We will roll you a ball and you'll roll it back with your pointer finger. You have been doing this for months now and we are just so happy it hasn't worn off! Point away buddy! Teething has not been the kindest to you, unfortunately for you and for us. You are still pretty happy during the days but nights have been hard. You already have six teeth which is more than your dad and I had at your age! You still have the biggest hands and feet and we just love them. Everywhere we go people comment on what a beautiful baby you are! We get comments at least once a day from strangers on how beautiful your exotic-looking big brown eyes are. You are so beautiful, more so than anything we could have ever imagined, sweet boy! Your sweet little spirit is so much too. You are constantly smiling and needing to see our faces. You're still such a mommy's boy and can't be away from me for very long at all. You still love nursing as well as eating three meals a day! You are a great eater and for that I am so thankful! We still take our morning bath everyday and have incorporated a nightly one as well. You love the tub and we usually feed you two of your three meals in there! What an amazing first baby you have been. Again we could never have imagined anything better! Thank you for being so happy and sweet for us! We love you Radcliff! :)

PS Pizza is from Pie 5! It's our favorite new restaurant that just opened up frighteningly close to our house. To say we're obsessed is an understatement! Their gluten free crusts!? TO DIE! And you can load your personalized pizza with as many toppings as you'd like for just $6.00! Oh and their salads? PERFECTION!

Radcliff Sports Little Mimmie + Giveaway + Link Up!

Okay, is it just me or is this the cutest babe ever? (besides your own of course ) I know I'm biased, but c'mon dude! Quit being so squishalicious already! Makes you growing up that much harder. And what makes him that much more adorable, are the five different tops he was gifted from Little Mimmie's shop.

So let me take you back... When I was really cool in third grade I had this best friend named Laura. We were with each other all the time and I was just obsessed with her. Well fast forward a handful of years, we ended up moving and we never really saw each other again. Although her house is, and will always be, the house I envision in every book I read. Every book with a house in it of course. But what book doesn't have a house in it though? Anyway, we reconnected through Facebook, I think it was, and she has an adorable blog that I follow called What Happens When You Live. Well longest story long, she just started her shop Little Mimmie and let Radcliff and I pick out some favorite items for him. As you can see, they are all adorable! Little Mimmie's clothes are either new or gently used and vintage and  for, honestly, the lowest prices I've found for cute baby clothes. Also, if you live in the Salt Lake area you can email littlemimmieshop(at)gmail.com and can arrange a way to get it to you free of shipping. How awesome is that? Seriously you've got to check it out! Here are some of my faves right now...
And you think I'm done yet? Nope. We have a GIVEAWAY for $30 to Little Mimmie. And let me tell you what, with $30 you could honestly get about five or six things depending on what you choose. If you have children, you'd be cra-zy not to enter this one... Enter, enter, enter! :) Thanks Laura!

Important Things Like a Dress and PMS + Link Up!

Dress: eShakti
Shirt: H&M
Shoes: Online???
Earrings: Aldo
EShakti is all sorts of awesome and let me pick out this adorable dress from their website. This dress fits me like a glove (as did the coat they sent me a couple months ago, see post here), due to the custom fitting they offer for any item in their store. I really can't say enough good things about eShakti and really think all of you should check them out!

Now onto more critical things like how I feel PMS creeping back for the first time since getting pregnant a year and a half ago. How dare it come back? Oh how it's been amazing not feeling like a psycho lunatic during certain times of the month. Things like purse straps and cords have really had my blood boiling lately. Get outta my way already! If I step in another water puddle on my kitchen rug from dropped ice in my clean socks... I will kill. I'm annoyed that I don't know where to put the dumb comas in that last run in sentence so I'm just not. Wren. Move. Radcliff. Boob. These are my irrational thoughts the last couple days. Wren just politely said, "Don't be an cranky PMSer anymore, k?" It's hard because, well, I don't mean it! Maybe I'll just get pregnant again. JOKE. Off to take a hot bath. Will probably be good for just about everyone in this house. Now pray the you know what that requires a thing with a big fat T doesn't come anytime soon now. Because that my friends, won't be good for a single one of em in this house.

Kingdom and State Basics, Check it Out!

Pants: Cotton On
Shoes: Whimsy
Fur Vest: Macy's
I don't know about you, but I am somehow always out of good shirts to wear underneath things.  Either the dryer eats them (they literally vanish), they have pit stains, or they aren't cut low enough for the shirt I want to wear over them.  So when Kingdom and State sent me over this basic cap shirt in nude blush to review, I was excited to have something to layer over.  I normally would not have picked this color, but have actually fallen in love with it.  Surprisingly it goes great with so many items in my closet.  I like that it's not white so I can wear it by itself as well as underneath things.  But my favorite part?  How low cut it is.  My biggest pet peeve is when an undershirt is cut right at my collar bone (hello Shade shirts!?)  Who wants to wear anything over that?  Not I.
So check out Kingdom and State today and get free shipping with any order for a limited time only!  They have lots of other basic essentials to wear underneath your clothes.
Another I'm wanting to get?
This Dress Slip...
For the tons of dresses that I wear that are a little too see through for comfort.
