Love Grows Here

It's no secret that our little family loves hanging out outside in our yard together in the evenings. There's something so therapeutic about relaxing outside, after a long day, breathing in the fresh air, and coming to the realization that everything that stressed me out throughout the day, wasn't even a big deal, like at all. I love sitting back and watching my handsome, healthy boys happily playing together! You'll find Mr. Everest Bear jumping with his fat little legs in his swing or rolling around on a blanket laid out on the grass, gumming his toys, watching in jealousy and amazement as Radcliff cruises, like speed lightening, all around the driveway on his bike. Wren and I will get in little bits and pieces of yard work, here and there, while kicking or throwing a ball to Rad. We always try to include Rad in helping us with the yard work. Whether it be helping me weed or water the plants, or helping Daddy mow the lawn, we think it's so important to establish good work ethic in our boys while they're young, and when they actually think it's cool to help with stuff!
That tongue.., It seriously kills me! It's out all day long and I think I might bite it clean off if he's not careful!
After reading about how detoxifying to the air that indoor plants can be, I have been really into bringing a little bit of the outdoors, inside, by scattering them around the house...
They just make everything feel super fresh!

Personal Creations was kind enough to send us over the adorable Heart Stepping Stones with my boys' names on them, that I will treasure forever and ever! The Juniper Bonsai Tree and the Azalea Bonsai Tree were sent by Pro Plants and I'm obsessed with these mini little trees! I received them just a couple days before Mother's Day and they just made my Mother's Day that much sweeter and inspired this #LoveGrowsHere post. Thank you, thank you!

What I Know You Need

As always, life (kids) have gotten in the way and I can't seem to find the time to post as much as I'd like to! Anyway, as a reminder of what these posts are...

I have been wanting to do weekly posts on what I'm loving for awhile now. I have found so many favorites lately and want to share them with all of you! These posts will never be sponsored and my faves will always be stuff I have purchased and used. And trust me... You want to trust me on this. Alright?

1. These Nike Dri Fit Jogger Pants are AMAZING. The material is like this stretchy heavenly stuff that dreams are made of but they still look nice enough to wear out. Dare I even say with heels? Maybe that's pushing it... But you can look pretty close to being 'put together' while maintaining extreme comfort. Which is really my goal in life. And they'd be great to work out in, but you know, I don't do that so... You can buy them here for $74.00.

2. Okay this Vegetable Spiralizer is life changing. We try to eat as healthy as possible when we're home, and this kitchen gadget makes it all the more easy AND fun to do so! Think homemade french fries, zucchini noodles, onion rings... Just to name a few. The possibilities are endless! There are three different attachments to give you different sizes of spirals too. Wren and Rad got ours from Spoons and Spice for me for Christmas (As Rad calls it, Spice and Spoons, so cute!) but they don't have a way to purchase online so here's a link to buy on Amazon for $36.94.

3. So I have pretty much been sick on and off for six weeks. It's been a freakin' nightmare to say the least. BUT one thing that's made it more bearable are these Dr. Teal's Cold and Allergy Epsom Salts and Foaming Vapor Bath. I've like Dr. Teal's regular epsom salts for awhile, but their new Cold and Allergy line is unreal. It smells amazing, clearing out your sinuses (which is what the regular one does too), but these cold and allergy epsom salts make your whole body tingle. It's unreal! And then everyone likes amazing smelling bubble bath, right? Get these things even if you're not sick and use em' before you go to bed. You'll thank me later! I get mine from Smith's Market Place but you can also buy both from Amazon. The epsom salts are here for $9.99 and the foaming vapor bath, here, for $8.99.

4. Okay so I walked out of the elevator at City Creek, into Macy's last week, and these pants were pretty much smiling at me as I stepped out. Randomly, they are in the little boys section, and I'm just so terribly pleased our stars aligned for us to meet! These are insaaanely comfortable and super cute. I don't think anyone can have enough cute sweatpants, can they? Add in jogger and stonewashed and gray, and I'm SOLD! They are on sale right now and you can buy from Macy's here for $27.99. I bought a size medium and wear a size 4.

5. I have what feels like a million of these lip glosses. I'm kind of a lip gloss fiend and these are my all time favorite right now. They're not too sticky, but thick enough to stay on for a good while. The colors are vibrant but not overpowering. My fave colors are Dolly Girl, Spicy, and Natural. You can buy here for $6.00 each, on Amazon.
What are YOUR favorites right now!?

What I Know You Need

So for awhile now, I have been wanting to do weekly posts about what I'm loving. I have found so many favorites lately and want to share them with all of you! The three dudes I am living under the same roof with just do not understand when I tell them how awesome this or that is. Men... These posts will never be sponsored and the loot will always be stuff I have purchased and used. And trust me... You want to trust me on this. Alright?

So for this week, here's the awesomeness, the creams of the crop, the cherries on top:

1. Have you guys been to Lush? I have walked passed it a hundred times but had never gone in. Well I finally did, and the one little item I walked out with has been life changing. This Fair Trade Foot Lotion is made with cocoa butter, peppermint, spearmint, and arnica. I love putting it on my feet at night after the tub, and then putting big thick socks on. It tingles and has been helping my dry feet tremendously! It smells amazing and is so concentrated it should last me a year. Plus the packaging is super cute and I love the pink color. It's $23.95 right now and is buy one get one free (give the extra as a gift! The giftee with love!) Run, don't walk, people!

2. Zara kids' clothing has been my favorite place to buy Rad's stuff lately. Their clothes are so unique, the material is super high quality (important now that mister Bear will be using them too!), they fit true to size, and if you hit their sales their prices are really comparable to Gap sales and Old Navy. I'm obsessed with both their little boy and little girl lines and their baby stuff is super cute too. The items I posted above are some of the things I just bought Rad and I die at how cute he looks in them. You can find those specific items here, here, here, here, here, and here and they range from $9.99 to $19.99, or you can see all Zara kids' clothes here.

3. I have been wearing these high waisted jean leggings from Express on repeat for a month now. Since they are high waisted, they suck my post-baby tummy in (although I'm proud of that extra skin that helped bring my Bear Boy into the world!) They are super stretchy so really comfortable and unlike both my Grandma's, I love the distressed look. Sorry Grandmas. They are $88 right now, and worth every pretty penny!

4. Okay, even as a licensed cosmetologist, I still never really found the professional stuff to be that much better than the grocery store brands. But that's coming from a total lover of Garnier Fructis conditioner. So... But recently I took my cousin to the beauty supply store to pick up some hair products and the girl there was telling us how amazing the Mythic Oil Loreal products are. Skeptically, I bought them and I'm so happy I did! You really can't believe the amazing-ness until you try these products. I bought the deep conditioner (pictured on the right), and then their smoothing serum duo (pictured on the left). They have made my hair so smooth, it's absolutely unreal. It's like crack for the hair. If any of you people want these, I will personally take you to the beauty supply store to pick them up. It will change your hair's life and save you a pretty penny from buying in a salon. The deep conditioner was about $30 I think, and the smoothing serum duo was $19.99.

I hope you liked this post and there's many more where this comes from!

Dress Clothes 911

1. Here 2. Here 3. Here 4. Here 5. Here 6. Here 7. Here
So tonight Wren was saying how he's in dire need of some new dress clothes. I remember when we went on a little dress clothes shopping spree for him awhile back but hadn't realized it had been almost three years since we'd done that! Especially considering he wears them everyday, I'm sure a lot of them are on their very last last leg. I started thinking of some of the places he likes, such as Express, Betabrand, ASOS, and Crockett and Jones, and found some of my personal favorites that I think would match his cool style. Who says dress clothes have to be boring? Not Wren.
What are some of your favorite places to buy dress clothes?

Sweater Weather!

1. Here 2. Here 3. Here 4. Here
I've been seeing the cutest chunky sweaters all over Pinterest lately, and it makes me so excited that we can finally wear them here in Utah! Oh man, just another wonderful perk of fall time. The Edinburgh Woollen Mill has some super cute, affordable options right now! I think number two is my favorite up there. You've got to check them out!

I Like Yellow Gold

1. Here 2. Here 3. Here 4. Here 5. Here
If you know me, you know I've loved gold jewelry since, well... forever. I've been really into simple, yellow gold lately, like what you're seeing above. You can find all of these pieces from Chisholm Hunter. They offer high quality items that would be great gifts this holiday season! What? Christmas will be here before you know it!
What type of jewelry are you into lately!?

Due Date Approaching Rapidly and Nursery Talk!

1. Here 2. Here 3. Here 4. Here 5. Here
Well we are officially less than two weeks away from baby's due date. I can't even believe how fast this pregnancy has gone! Like really, sheesh! I had a doctor's appointment last week and was measuring a little bit smaller than normal, so just to be safe, they got me in for an ultrasound the next day to make sure baby was growing normally and to check that I had enough fluid in there. Luckily, both looked great! Lots of fluid and they estimated the baby at about seven and a half pounds. You can come anytime, sweetheart! If I go late like I did with Radcliff, I could end up having a nine pounder. I don't know why that's so funny to me because it's going to hurt like a you know what, but you know what??? As long as baby is healthy I'm happy. Bring on the next little chubby guy! It was fun to see his cute chubby cheeks in the ultra sound. He's head down and ready for blast off!

We are just about finished with his little nursery too! Over the last couple weeks we have painted the dresser, crib, his room, installed molding and doors, and then purchased some nursery necessities. We are going to leave Radcliff in his crib for awhile so we needed all new items that pertain to a crib for the new dude's room. So we are almost there! Every time I walk in it I get excited thinking about our him snoozing in there. I love him so much already! Radcliff is on cloud nine when he walks in too. "New baby's room is sooooo cute Mommy!"

The last two things we need to complete it are to install the wallpaper and pick out a comfy chair. I have been really into comfy, old man looking chairs lately. Tell me I'm not alone in this!? Shackletons has the cutest ones right now! Aren't these all amazing??? Which one is your favorite?

Any last minute advice pertaining to anything labor, hospital, new baby, ways to help your toddler feel included, sleep talk, just ANYTHING, would be greatly appreciated! I'm so excited but also kind of a nervous wreck as well. Times are changing, and they're changing fast!

Wood You Like a Jord Watch?

The awesome Jord watches sent us over this cool Fieldcrest Series Black Wood Watch.Wren had actually been wanting a cool wood watch like this for a while, so it's fun that it's totally gender neutral and we can both wear it! Jord has so many cool different wood watches to choose from. "Jord watches are designed to take people back to nature and away from today's metal and rubber", which makes us love them even more!

It also came packaged in the nicest box so wood (no pun intended!), be the perfect present! With Christmas a couple months away, here's a great gift idea!
Thanks Jord! We love the watch!

And on a side note, these pictures are making me so excited for fall weather! It was rainy here on Sunday, and we were all able to bust out our sweaters and flannels. Fall is my all time favorite season (maybe because my birthday and Halloween both reside in this season!? AND New Baby's birthday too!) But the golden light, the beautiful changing leaves, and the crisp sweater weather Utah gets in fall time, well nothing beats it. Nothin' beats how handsome my guys are up there either ;)

If you're from Utah, you can check out my fall bucket list here from last year. There's some really fun things to do during fall time on there! Happy FRIDAY!!!

Pointless Nesting Talk That You'll Probably Be Bored By

I'm in full on nesting mode these days. What's with thinking I'll never be able to accomplish anything, ever again, once the baby comes? Maybe because I know I probably won't. It's funny, I've had this drive to get so much done, but haven't necessarily had the energy, so lots of the time I'm left a little annoyed at the never ending list that's playing over and over in my head.

However, I do feel like I've been able to put a pretty good dent in my list of the littler to-dos. Slowly but surely, right!? I've pretty much given everything in my closet away and I'm sure I'll be sad about it once I'm not pregnant anymore and everything I got rid of, fits. Well, hopefully will fit... Nurse the pounds away my little newborn! Who am I kidding, if he doesn't, Rad will. That kid will never be weened. And it's mostly my fault. I'm so in love with nursing him. And speaking of pounds, what's with me gaining the recommended weight, with this pregnancy and the last, by the time I hit seven months? Looks like we'll be over that recommendation again. But back to my clothes... I wear all of like five outfits at the moment because nothing fits and it just seemed proper to get rid of the rest. Mhhh. The joys of having zero closet space.

Speaking of, we converted the walk-in closet room back to a regular room to make way for the baby, which means all of everything Wren and I own is in our tiny closet in our room and a wardrobe from Ikea. And you know what? It actually works. I'm so proud that we have weeded through so much and our crap can stay comfortably (together) in one little room. Wren keeps saying, "It's just so nice having my stuff in the same room where I sleep!" Bless his little heart.

I've gone through all of Rad's clothes from newborn age until now, and got rid of everything I knew I wouldn't use again and sorted everything by age group so it's all ready to put in New Baby's closet when he gets here! Can I tell you how great it is being able to use all the same stuff? It's awesome.

The linen closet's all cleaned out, all the bathroom drawers and cupboards, I was just hucking things left and right and Wren was staring at me like I'd gone mad. "Sav, are you sure you don't want that???" "Yes sir. Yes I am." I just do not have it in me any longer to keep stuff, even if it's good stuff, that I know I will never use again. What's the point? Same scenario replayed in the basement. I went through every last drawer in our desk, TV console, and hutch and it's down to the necessities. I can finally breathe! Funny how having less stuff is so liberating while at the same time, leaves me wanting to buy more... First world problems for sure.

Now onto the baby's nursery. Something I'm so excited to start! I didn't think I'd really lean this direction for his room, but I'm kind of feeling the industrial vibe. Trade Furniture has some fun furniture options:
Now what I'm really hoping for is that my Dad will build the baby a new industrial looking crib. Dad!? Holla at your girl!?

I Heart Bathtubs

Wren and I are finally getting around to replacing our ghetto bathtub, something I wish we would have just done when we first moved in. I'm loving the simple look of this square, white bathtub that Utopia offers. Imagine me, Radcliff, and New Baby soaking our bad selves twice a day in this. So much better than the nastified old, little tub that's currently there with the gross grout that refuses to come clean. I told Wren that mountain biking is his thing and taking baths is mine. He buys his nice gear, now it's my turn! ;) And he's always been more than happy to oblige. I'm just scared to live without a tub! We'll see how this goes! What are your thoughts on this?

Bedspreads, One Of My Favorite Topics!

Maybe it's our tiny bedroom, maybe it's the severe nesting mode I've entered into, or probably I'm just crazy, but I've been getting the itch, again, to switch out our bedding. What's with me and bedding? Man. I found the funnest website for high quality, affordable bedding called The French Bedroom Company. They offer bed spreads with lots of crisp whiteness (my favorite!) and clean lines. If you're in the market, you must check it out!

The Best Straightener You Can Get!

Misikko sent me this Hana Elite Flat Iron late last year:
And just like the HANAair Hair Dryer they sent me (see post here), it did not disappoint! Like at all. I wanted to give it some significant time before reviewing it on my blog. After all, the most important quality in a flat iron for me is that not only does it make my hair feel super smooth, but that it doesn't damage it in the process. I can happily say that my hair has never felt healthier and I have been using it for almost six months now. I straighten my hair every time I blow dry it so that's saying a lot! I can straighten my entire head in three minutes flat. Also saying a lot for me! Each section I straighten really only needs one or two passes of the straightener and, wala, it's straight. I don't know what they've done, but Misikko has seemed to have made the perfect straightener. And trust. I've used a million top grade straighteners over my lifetime because my hair is so curly and because I went to cosmetology school. Hands down my favorite straightener yet! If you've been looking for a good one, this is so worth the money. I promise!
Thanks Misikko!

I Love Rug

I have been really into rugs lately. With our 1960's original, and creaky, hardwood floors, there's nothing that compliments them better than a big, cozy rug. Above, are some of my favorites at the moment! All can be found here. What rugs are you loving lately?
