What I Know You Need

Hey! I'm excited to share a couple more of my faves with you guys this week! If you missed my first one of these posts last week, check it out here. And again, everything I list in these posts will be things I have and have tried (obviously because I have them). Get it?

Alrighty...

1. I'm obsessed with Baublebar jewelry lately. I love their bright, vintage looking style. I have the three items shown above and wear them all the time! They are of such good quality and look cute with just about everything. Earrings are on sale for $20 right now and can be found here. Bracelet on sale for $15 and can be found here. Necklace on sale for $20 and can be found here. Check out all their stuff though! So many fun pieces to choose from!

2. Okay. Two words for ya. Dirty secret. Finding time to do just about anything with my two guys constantly on my six, is really difficult, and that includes washing my hair! I've tried different dry shampoos and this one is my fave by far. Not only does it eat away the grease, but somehow, magically, it gives your hair tons of volume! I always spray it in planning to just throw my hair in a pony, but it honestly makes my hair look so clean, I end up wearing it down. Every time. Who can wear their hair down when it's dirty!? Amazing. You can buy it here on Amazon for $15.50. Or if you're close to me I'll take you to the beauty supply store, I think it's like $10 there. Worth every dirty penny!

3. K, it's so hard finding womens' all natural deodorant. All the ones I've tried either stink, don't stop me from stinking, or give me a rash. But I'm here to tell you, I finally found one that smells amazing, is all natural, AND kicks my B.O. out the winda! Lavanila people! Regular deodorants have some seriously scary ingredients so run, run, run and pick this up for yourself. You can buy it online here for $14, or go into Sephora and try all the different scents. The vanilla grapefruit pictured above is my favorite one, but you know, different strokes for different folks... You'll love it!

4. Now last, but definitely best, is this Naked Coconut, Coconut Bliss dairy-free ice cream. I went off of dairy after Bear was born because it was bugging his little tummy, but what's a girl that eats ice cream every single night to do that can't have dairy? Coconut ice cream. Every time, all day long. You guys... it's BANANAS how good this stuff is! This, by far, is the best brand of coconut ice cream too. I get mine from Whole Foods for $6.99, but if there's not a Whole Foods by you, check out here where the closest place is to you to buy it. It's soooo dumb how good this is.

Well, I hope you enjoyed this! Now go nuts and buy all of it! You won't regret it.

Breakfast At Our House

If there's one thing I'm not screwing up every day, it's breakfast...

I have a love/hate relationship with breakfast time. I love it because it's the start of a new day surrounded by two, of the three dudes, I like most. Rad's right by my side, the entire time, helping me pour the corn into the pan, stirring the oatmeal, pressing the buttons on the blender, or just giving the kitchen table a good old fashioned scrub down as he sprays cleaner (all natural) over and over again, wiping it with his soaked paper towel. He repeats, "Daddy made a BIG mess of this table last night, huh!?" Yes, Rad. Yes he did ;) And if he's not down for a snooze, I'm usually wearing Evy Boy in the LuLu Wrap, trying my best not to splash water in his face while I do the dishes.

For the same reason I love breakfast, I also hate it. It's multitasking at it's finest. Some days my brain feels like it might just explode! And finishing anything? Just getting the bacon from the fridge to the oven can take twenty minutes with helper Rad needing me to help him with this, or move that for him, or Everest's passy boy falling to the ground, and the freakin' smoke alarm going off for the 20th time because it's positioned directly over the oven (that "beep" will kill me one of these days...) But you know what? It's all worth it for that hot breakfast.

We make the same thing every single morning... "Corn, tatoes, bacon, and soothie", as Radcliff says, and now we've added oatmeal after a friend told me it that it helps with milk supply (it reeeeally does!). We get the corn, bacon, gluten-free oatmeal and hash browns from Trader Joes. I love shopping there because they have nitrate free bacon and turkey bacon (we rotate these), their fozen corn tastes so fresh (don't bother with frozen corn aywhere else, it always gets stuck in your teeth), and their hash browns are to die for. I also love their gluten-free oatmeal. Even if you don't eat a gluten-free diet, it's so much better than regular oatmeal. Our smoothies consist of frozen fruit (we switch it up), avocado, spinach, coconut milk, in the carton and can (again, Trader Joes thick, creamy coconut milk in the can is truly what heaven's got to be made of!), chia seeds, flaxseed (another food that's supposed to help your milk supply), and then kifir.

As big of a pain in the butt as it can be to make such a production out of breakfast, I figure, even if we don't have the best lunch or dinner, at breakfast time alone, we've gotten most of our fruits, veggies, proteins, and good fats in for the day that we need. And (it's a big AND!), I've never really understood how people eat cereal, or toast and feel good throughout their day. It's not a judgement, it's honestly something I don't get. If I eat a breakfast like that, I feel lethargic, I don't have energy, my stomach hurts, and I'm hungry like an hour later. So... I challenge all of you to make an effort to eat a big, warm, healthy breakfast every morning and see how you feel. Plus, as you can see, it really brings the family together too.

I thought it needed to be documented so I can always remember these happy-crazy breakfast memories when I'm older. As stressful as this first part of the day can be, I know I'll miss having Thing 1 and Thing 2 by my side, in 30 years, when I'm still making the same damned thing.

Wren's Gradubirthdayation Party!

Wren finished school last December and was planning on walking this Spring, but because of all mayhem with the house and trying to get moved in, we completely spaced it.  Bad wife right here.  Anyway, his sweet parents threw the cutest graduation/birthday party for him and invited both of our families.  His dad bought super soakers and we all got wet.  The babies loved them.
Go Wren!  You're officially done with school!  For awhile anyways :)
AND officially 26.  Welcome to the club.  It don't feel pretty does it?
Kidding.
We're spring chickens :)

Pesto Pizza Recipe

This pizza has got to be the best thing I have ever made.  I am so terribly proud and pleased about it I had to share!  It's insanely good, insanely easy, and pretty much insanely healthy (for pizza anyway).
What you'll need...
AND PRE-COOKED CHICKEN.
Pre-heat oven to 450.  Lightly flour a pizza pan and set pizza crust on top.  Spread the pesto over the pizza crust.  Chop up the tomatoes, chicken, and basil.  Spread chicken, pepperoni, tomatoes, feta cheese, and basil over the entire pizza and in that order.  Bake for 10 minutes and you'll have yourself the heavenliest of treats.
It's all Wren could talk about...
Yum, YUM!

I Made Some Macaroons...

So can I just say I feel silly talking about blogging, especially to people who don't blog.  They look at me with sort of this blank stare like I'm crazy.  And that's okay.  It is kind of crazy.  But you know what's the most awesome thing ever?  All of the amazing friends I have made through blogging.  I bet I could go to a lot of places around THE WORLD and know someone relatively close, just because of my blog.
My blogging buddies are the BEST.
I love you guys more than you know!

Alycia (check out her blog, it's AWESOME!) one of my great blogging friends invited me to a macaroon baking class on Friday.
I was so excited to be invited since these classes aren't cheap!

Aren't they adorable!?
And they are basically the most amazing things I have ever tried.  Ever.
The best part is, we got to take our own little box of the macaroons home that she we made (Wren was happy), as well as a macaroon baking kit from Mercedes, the adorable girl who taught the class.  I would highly recommend ANYONE purchasing her class or her macaroon baking kit HERE.
Macaroons are perfect for baby showers and birthday parties.
And people will look at you like you're insane since you made them.
See, because of crazy blogging I now know how to make macaroons.
Cool :)

OH AND DON'T FORGET TO ENTER VINTAGE UNDERGROUND GIVEAWAY HERE.
