Melty Way, As Good As A Milky Way

There is this place called Melty Way in Fort Union, and pretty much they make grilled cheeses on crack.  It is bomb.  My grilled cheese had pesto, tomatoes, and other delicious things I can't remember that were on there.  Their soup is awesome too.  You've gotta try.  Plus they sell the water that Jeff from the Bachelorette started...  That's fun right?
Find yourself an S friend too, she's pretty awesome :)

2 Day No Work Time

We had a nice relaxing weekend.
Friday we went to Sonny's Barbecue in Sandy.  It was okay, not the best.  The heart burn's starting to come back...  And the food their definitly brought it on strong.  So we went and bought ice cream, came home, and watched TV.  I'm feeling more and more like a beached whale.  Ha.
Saturday was spent eating out, sleeping, and going to Park City with Wren's sister Allyssum, her husband Ryan, and baby Lilly.
We went to a restaurant called Vito's.  It's this awesome pizza place.  I would highly recommend it.  The decor and food is awesome, and for a reasonable price.  They also have one downtown Salt Lake off of 2nd south.
It was also this guy's birthday...

My dad!  We brought bagels over for breakfast on Sunday and just relaxed... again.  I love my dad so much, he's the best dad I could ever have asked for.  Plus, what man is really secure enough to wear a snuggie?  Him :)  He kept raising his arms in the air and yelling, "Shooting star!"  HA!

In other fun news... I am currently 23 weeks pregnant!  The time is flying by, I can't even believe it.  Baby Center says that baby boy can now feel me dance, so to start swayin.  LOL.  He is one pound and his lungs are starting to form.  This baby growing stuff really is an complete miracle.  So happy he's mine.  We can't wait to meet him in less than 4 months!

New Favorite Restaurant - Blue Lemon

After looking at yet another house last night, which we love, I'm not even getting my hopes up anymore- my heart keeps getting broken, we drove past a new restaurant (new to us) called Blue Lemon.  Have you of you heard of this place?  Okay, it's basically amazing.  The decor inside is right up my alley, they have healthy, delicious looking dishes, and big fancy cupcakes.  It's the best of like a million worlds.  And if this house did work out, fingers crossed twice for us, I could eat there like everyday.
You MUST try it :)
Don't forget to enter the giveaway going on HERE too.  Super cute stuff!

Date Night at Blue Fish Sushi Bar

Tuesday night, Wren and I went out for sushi at the Blue Fish here in South Jordan, Utah.
We're trying to get as many date nights in alone together as we can before baby boy comes to town.

We ordered this amazing deep fried cheesy jalapeno appetizer...
(Wren said he had a crappy morning the following day... no pun intended, because of the jalapenos.  Poor guy)
 This mango roll...
And this Teddy Bear roll (I love the name) it had steak inside and was deep fried.
All of it was amazing.

And this pregnant chick don't mess around when it comes to her food...
I polished it off!
I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.
I think it's our new favorite sushi place in the area, and we mean biz when it come to this :)
And don't worry mom, all the fish was FULLY cooked too...

Bear Lake 2011

This past week we went to Bear Lake with my family.  As always, it did not disappoint.
Look at my cute boy on crutches.  He is simply TOO funny on them.  We all laughed the whole time.  He's a kicker!
My cute sissies.  Love them :)
Plus one with my cute mommy.  Don't you love Kate's lips in this pic?
The spinsters with their boyfriends.
Does this mean they're not spinsters anymore?  I think it just might!
Cutest new yogurt shop called Berry Yogurt.  They have the best flavors of yogurt I have ever encountered plus some cute gourmet cupcakes.  AND some wi-fi for Wren to do his homework :)
If you ever go to Bear Lake, you must go here.
I got german chocolate fudge yogurt with cheesecake bites and strawberries.  Delish..... :)
Wow, what thick eyebrows you have Sav.  Thanks for those dad :)

Can you tell that Wren was pleased?
Do you like Wren's new boot?  I think it's the funniest thing on the block.
We all got our Sister girl time in.....  Everyone's pretty much obsessed with this baby.
We got our french braid on.... Wren looks like he's taking a snooze in the background.  He's just jealous he can't get HIS hair braided.
We hung out by the Lake.
Our dads fixed a minor leak. No biggie.
Cambria made us all bracelets.  You go girl :)
We talked among ourselves till late in the evening.  Wren had ENTIRELY too much fun doing it and Rache's bangs could have desperately used a good washing and straightening.  Just saying :)
We played monopoly with the whole fam.  I finally learned the concept of the game and figured out that I too could buy properties.
Wren and I camped out under the stars in our very own first tent and sleeping bags.
We couldn't figure out the setting on our camera to take pictures of the stars, but this is what we got....
The flash was a little startling....
Sadly enough it was time to head home....
We drove home through Logan, and can I just say, it is the cutest, quaintest little town?  It is.

Thanks SO MUCH for all the concern regarding Wren's leg.  He is doing great and does not need surgery thank the heavens above!  So many people were very sweet!

Heaven in my Mouth

Three words for you.

Mountain Mike's Pizza

This pizza right here is possibly the most amazingly scrumptious piece of deliciousness I have ever had the joy of savoring....
What's it called?  I don't know, Wren always orders and I'm too busy looking at the desert pizzas to remember, but it has the best crust in the world.  It's all soft and wonderful in the middle, and then just the right amount of crunchy on the outside.  There is chicken, Alfredo sauce, tons of bacon (my fave), tomatoes, and onions.  It's T.H.E. B.E.S.T. ever.  End of story.  Food's big business to the Withers.

Look at that sexy man.  He was excited to eat.
We had barely gone grocery shopping the night before (it had literally almost been two months... the only thing we had bought in that time period was milk, bread, and fruit) I know WAY embarrassing.
Yet, we STILL went out to eat.  We are an eat-out family.  I can't help it, when you've had my dad for a dad your whole life, it's what you'll do.  Eating out has been instilled in me since birth.  I never had a chance otherwise :)
Speaking of my dad, my parents are on trek right now and I have been DYING to see them in their bonnets.  Pictures WILL be coming soon.....  For anyone who knows my parents, nothing will be funnier.

AND on Wednesdays, when you buy any pizza you get .25 (what the heck, is there not a "cents" sign on the keyboard?  I swear there was) wings, so of course we had to get eight.

Is your mouth watering yet?  Mine is....

If you are looking for a fun new restaurant, Mountain Mike's Pizza surely won't disappoint.

Time... Where Does it Go?

The long weekend went way too fast as it usually does.  On memorial day my dad took my sister and I to lunch at Market Street Grill, as he claims, is his favorite thing to do, buy us food :) (my mom and other sis were takin it easy at home)  But we got on the topic of babies and I started thinking about time and how fast time REALLY goes.  It's insane.  There are so many thoughts that come to mind when I think about time.

I think of my parents, and that it probably seems like yesterday to them that they were my age.  Newly married, talking about things they wanted to do with their life, when they would have babies, and now all of a sudden their oldest is 25!  It makes me scared to have babies because when I was little I thought my parents knew it all.  But now that I am the age that my mom was when she had me, I think, how did my parents do it?  It makes me very thankful for all they sacrificed for me.  When my mom turned 50 a couple of months ago, she way saying that when you're young, you never think getting old is going to happen to you, and then.... you wake up 50.  (Lucky for me, she looks and acts like she's still 30.  She always tells me how incredibly lucky I am that my mother will never get old.  I am!)  But she was also saying that it's hard to watch your parents get older and be a parent to your adult children.  She says it's a little disheartening.  Time is good and bad I suppose.

I also think about time, and get stressed.  I think, what am I doing with my life?  I want to look back on this time in my life and not wish I would have done more or enjoyed it more.  Because let's face it, when I have kids, I know I am going to look back and think, "What in the world were you stressed about Savannah?"  The thing is, I KNOW I can enjoy life more, but I just get so busy and don't always stop to enjoy life, enjoy exactly the moment I am in.  I think I just get anxious sometimes and it's hard for me to relax and just be content with where I'm at in life.  I'm always wanting to get from point A to B.  I need to figure out a way to just be happy with the exact spot I am sitting in right now because life is so good.  Last night, Wren and I went on a bike ride and the sun was setting, and the clouds were incredible, the sky was pink and blue and everything the sun was shining on was illuminated in gold, and I was PERFECTLY content.  I looked over and saw my husband riding his bike, smiling at me, with the sunset in the background and I thought to myself, "Life is so good!"  I'm constantly learning how to find these precious moments because I know they are everywhere, I just need to stop and realize it.

Yesterday as I was folding laundry, and rushing to get it done, I knew I was going to get another work phone call, disrupting my lunch, and have to go help someone.  I was feeling kind anxious and annoyed.  But then I stopped, looked up, and saw the gorgeous mountain view out of our huge bedroom windows and thought, "Why would I have a reason in the world to feel this annoyed right now?"  I have an amazing family.  My husband's family is incredible.  (We always talk about how lucky we are that both of our families are just the best)  I have my perfect, sweet, and patient husband.  We are all healthy.  A roof over our heads, ample amounts of food.  Entertainment at our disposal.  What's not to be happy about?  So I got thinking, how would I feel if tomorrow I had NONE of this, if it was just all taken away from me; if I had nothing?  I would be heart broken and devastated.  But then what if the day after that I got ALL of it back?  I would be the happiest girl in the world, it would be pure joy!  I think I just need to think about life in this light more often.  Who cares if I wasn't able finish folding the laundry before I got bugged, it's still going to be there when I get back.  And you know what?  It's going to be there every other day for the rest of my life, so why get stressed over stuff like this?  Dwelling on all the trivial things I should be doing, are wasting precious time that I will never get back.

Wow, I get deep on my days off huh?  So anyway, here is a picture of my dad, sister, and I when we were babies. (I think we are all pretty dang cute if I do say so myself!  And Rachie's piggies and my dad's curls?  PERFECT!)
And now flash forward 25 years..... Here we are.  Happy and healthy.  See, time does fly! :)
And might I add that lunch on Monday was superb....
AND that the service was even MORE superb?  Yes... I did take a picture of the waiter.  And YES, he probably did think I was completely insane :)
Anyway, thanks for listening to me go on and on and on, and tell me, do any of YOU ever have these feelings?  I'm telling you, I would give someone a million dollars, and no I don't have a million but I will take a LOAN out and pay it off the rest of my life, if someone could make sense of ALL of the thoughts that go on in this brain of mine ALL day long.  Too much alone time I think.

Well HAPPY WEDNESDAY!  It's my day off, so I'm off to ENJOY!
