Mornin Peach Pickin at Farnsworth Farms!

Why hello there mini Wren!
I'm ready for my spread mom! :)

If you guys live in the area, Farnsworth Farms in Sandy is such a fun place to pick peaches and apples and let your little people play on the playground. We headed over there today with our friends Dasha and Cubby and had such a blast! I picked ten fresh peaches for $1.00. Boo ya. While we picked, Radcliff and Cubby ate about ten each. They're healthy goys like that. After, a cautious Rad watched a daring Cubby go down the steep slide over and over again, he finally looked like he may be coming around to the idea. So I went down with him on my lap and he was slightly ticked. Let's just say this apple didn't fall far from the tree (no pun intended) because I hate all things risky/take-my-breath-away and it looks like he does too. I'm sorry honey! So he can just stay as close to Mommy as he'd like, that's okay with me! Thanks for going with us today friends!

My Fall Bucket List in 5, 6, 7, EIGHT!

Happy first official couple days of Fall everyone! Fall is by far my favorite season. Why? Because my birthday resides in this season, the weather is positively perfect, the leaves are gorgeous, and everything glows (my mom just told me this is because of the way the earth is tilted in the Fall, so it's not just the golden leaves that make it glow, there truly is one). So really, what's not to love about it?

So people from Salt Lake... Here's a Fall list all laid out for you to go do. My problem is not ever really knowing what fun seasonal activities are out there, but once I know, it's fun and easy to just go do it! We will be doing all of these things if it's the last thing I do. Anyone want to join? Be. My. Guest. Baby! And if you have any other fun ideas, please leave them in the comment section!

-Download a good CD, drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon, and take Gaurdsman Pass Backway (it's an amazing finished paved road now for those who didn't know!) to Midway and get hot chocolate at Matty's Bistro at The Zermatt. I've heard their hot chocolate is bomb. The changing leaves are absolutely spectacular surrounding Guardsman Pass in the Fall, like for real. You need to go.

-Ride the Heber Creeper for their Pumpkin Festival! It's a 40 minute train ride where you're accompanied with people in costume. Once you're at the depot you can go through a haunted car, get a tatoo (oh ya baby!), and then head to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpky boo.

-Head to Cornbelly's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Festival at Thanksgiving Point. There looks like there's about five million fun things that Radcliff would love there and I have never been! Radcliff... me, you, Daddy... pumpkin sack slide. It's a date!
-Head to Boo at the Zoo at Hogle Zoo for a little candy action! Kids 12 and under get to trick-or-treat in costume at different booths they have set up among creepy, craaaaaawling critters!

-Head to Homestead Nursery (no pun intended) and go through their haunted gardens where they have all of their many trees wrapped in tons and tons of lights. You can pick out a fresh pumpkin there and get free popcorn and it's free admission as well! We bought our trees from this nursery and it really is the sweetest older couple ever that live there and they put on their Halloween show throughout the month of October. They say they get hundreds of people so it must be good and their backyard is to die for. I think this one's a must!

-Go to Hatch Family Chocolate downtown and get one of their mouth watering hot chocolates (made with their solid chocolate), a caramel apple, and walk around the Avenues to see the beautiful trees, and the houses I dream about living in one day.

-Head up the canyon, light up a bonfire and cook a big old dutch oven followed by lots of s'mores. And then a hike. If we don't eat too many s'mores. Who wants to hike in a food coma? Not I.
That's all she wrote.

Crisp Days of Smashed in Windows

This weekend was filled with lots of cozy flannel shirts, delicious meals in the crisp outdoors, guitar sniffing, and tons of "pushing". Radcliff likes to push anything and everything now. Whether it's his stroller, the cart at the grocery store, his rolling high chair, or just a good old plastic bag on the carpet, he'll push it. We went to the cutest little park called Creekside Park for an evening picnic, and we watched him push the stroller around and around and around us for a good twenty minutes. We were in hysterics. The weather was amazing and it was fun sitting on a blanket, wearing our sweatshirts, playing with our baby. These are the days, I'm telling you! We also went on a hike with our friends and Radcliff and Jacob (only two weeks apart!) had a little too much fun playing in the lake. In no way were either of us anticipating our boys getting wet on the hike but they pretty much went swimming. Like I should have brought a swim diaper, swimming. They were filthy and squishy diapered and having the time of their lives. Boys. Dasha was the sweetest and kept giving Radcliff more and more of their peanut butter and jelly sandwich as he kept on insisting just that, "More! More! More!" He's a man who knows what he wants. When we arrived to the base and got back to our car we were greeted with just the most beautiful site I've ever beheld; our car window was smashed in. It took everything in me from not turning around and flipping off and doing the "suck-it" sign to the air around me, hoping the villains were still watching. There was literally glass everywhere. There were loads right next to Radcliff's car seat which made me booming mad. It was in all his toys, shoes, the driver seat. It was really fun for Wren to clean it all up for two hours. Luckily they didn't take a single thing. I had left my wallet at home (thank goodness!) and they had just rummaged through the diaper bag, I'm sure searching for a wallet. I hope they were really ticked when all they saw was Elmo, diapers, wipes, and Desitin in the bag. Suckers. I did have my really cute black boots in there, Rad's converse shoes, our iPod, and stroller which ironically were all still there. It was only in the busiest place ever and in broad daylight. I'm actually in shock they dared break the window, that had to of been super loud. Anyway, moral of the story? Do not leave any type of bag in your car when you're hiking, people are watching! AND, if your window does get smashed in like ours so elegantly did, take it to Techna Glass. We've done our research and it's the cheapest and fastest we've found.
Happy Monday, but more importantly HAPPY FALL!
I'm really interested in finding lots of fun Fall activities this year that Radcliff would like. What are your favorites?

D-d-d-date Night Out at a Bakery and Why I'm Annoying

Friday night Wren and I headed up to Corner Bakery Cafe.  Have you been?  If not... you must.  Truly, it's amazing.  And the perfect place to go on a crisp autumn's eve.
They have hearty stuff like soup, sandwiches, hot chocolate, pastas, rolls, and heavenly delights like bunt cake, pound cake, and whoopee pies.
C'mon..... you've never heard of a whoopee pie?  Me neither, I just loved ordering it and trying to say "whoopee" with a straight face.
The pictures were just not going as planned; as usual.  Wren kept saying, "Stick your butt out more, bend over more."  Wow.  That's original.  Finally he said, "Sav honestly.... all you need to do is lose the hat, put your hair down, wear a tighter shirt, and wear make-up.  I think you would like the pictures more."  Oh simple, SIMPLE  Y chromosome men, all you need to do?  If he only knew what that entailed..... at least an hour of work (hat hair, c'mon people, anyone who's anyone knows I'd have to wash it), which would mean we wouldn't get to dinner till at least eight, which would make a very unhappy Y chromosome, and I have a slight hunch he'd probably rethink that silly suggestion he had in the first place.  But don't you fret, I'd be way too lazy to do any of that in the first place.  Which is why I didn't.  End of boring story :)
Not that you probably even want to know BUT:
Hat: Men's department from Target
Jeans: Rue 21
Shirt: American Eagle (I think) I got it in the day-after-brother-went-on-his-mission-raid.  We cleared him out cuz.  You think I'm joking?  I wish I was.  There's going to be hell to pay upon his return.  Ty, brother, I guess it's the price of being a stylish guy, with all sisters, in an era where girls can rock guy's clothing.  Oh and your skinny jeans?  Fit me like a charm.  All of them.  Sorry.
Shoes: Marc Fisher (my daddy bought them for me, love him, love them :))

And my oh my what sexy hands you have honey.
This guy keeps getting sexier, and sexier, even when he gets angrier and angrier from my mad picture taking skills.  Forgive me sour puss.
Notice how Wren and I match.  Dark blue, light blue, white, gray, black, and just way too cool for school.  Like a big bruise.  Ya, we planned that.
The food was superb.

Thanks for the night out Wrenjammin.
Memories, memories, memories..... :)

Speaking of memories, here's a good one to always show just what an annoying wife Wren had....
I'm sorry honey.....
But it's really not my fault you're so buggable.

A Witches Night Out and a CUTE CUTE Giveaway!!!

Saturday night, on a quick whim, I found the best witch attire I could find in five minutes, threw it on, and bolted on the door with no makeup to an even where everyone wore LOTS of makeup, because Jenna invited me along to a Witches Night Out at Gardner Village.  I had never been before so had no idea what to expect but let me tell you what.... there were thousands of little witchies there.  It was off the shizook!!!  We danced and shopped, and danced and shopped, and then I ate the best dang BBQ chicken sandwich and cinnamon and sugar scone that could possibly exist.  It was a good night.
For the little time I had, I think I looked pretty dang witchy.....
Wow.....  Poor child, put me to bed!  And kill whitey.....
They have this new store there that is seriously the cutest.  I picked up this little purple candy jar....
I think it looks quite charming with my milk glass.
I'm thinking for candy perhaps lemon drops....  You?
I also snagged this gold and black feather hair extension.  It's killer :)
These cute little head bands...
Plus a shirt that's super fun.  I will post that baby later though.
All in all, Witches Night Out was boss :)

And NOW for the fun stuff!

Today's giveaway is a $25 gift certificate to OrlySegal's Etsy Shop.  I am absolutely in LOVE with everything this cute lady designs and makes.  And when I say designs and makes, literally she makes the metal pieces of jewelry herself.  It's crazy!  She's extremely talented and her stuff is gorgeous!  Jealous of whoever wins this one.  K and seriously?  You guys are pa-ritty lucky too because besides one lucky person getting $25 to her shop, all of my cool readers get 15% off her shop for the ENTIRE month of October using code ROLLEDUPPRETTY.  Come again?  Yes.  It's true.  She's awesome.  So go buy away here.

Here are a just a couple pieces I could die over....
Is that bracelet not amazeballs?  Sorry been watching too much Giuliana and Bill.
But really I'm obsessed with that little bracelet.

And these matching earrings?  Hello!?  In love :)
And again, she MADE them.  I can't get over it.

Here is a little bit about her and her shop, "I am a jewelry Designer and a Goldsmith, having graduated from the Tel-Aviv Technological Institute of Jewelers.
The deep desire to create and design burned in my bones, leaving me restless until I finally decided to express it.
The ability to materialize what I envision by taking metal and making jewelry brings me tremendous joy, and to be able to pass on this gift of joy and love of creation to other women who choose to wear my pieces is an even greater joy.
I especially like to combine classical methods of metalsmithing with modern techniques in order to create unique jewelry that is both youthful and intricate. The items are made of Sterling silver (925) with gemstone settings, high quality Silver Coating, and metals with 24K Hamilton Gold covering.
Into every element I devote much thought and love with special regard to high quality finish and durability in order to make the finest jewelry.
I invite you to visit the site often to catch up with the latest items."

So anyway, basically she's the bomb for doing this.
